Kiwi sorbet

I had wanted to try this recipe for a long time, and finally I was able to prepare kiwi sorbet, and I must say that I am now officially in love with homemade sorbets.

This kiwi sorbet contains no sugar, and I advise you to take it out of the freezer at least 15 minutes before serving.


The consistency is obviously not as creamy as when you use an ice cream machine, in fact I prepared this sorbet only by mixing the ingredients together and then letting it rest in the freezer. Since the kiwi contains a lot of water, its consistency is closer to that of a granita.

Kiwis are rich in vitamins C, K and E, as well as being rich in folic acid and potassium. So, not wanting to alter the nutrients by adding teaspoons full of sugar or sweetener, I invented a delicious sorbet that uses two simple ingredients and has a lot of flavor.

Kiwi sorbet is a perfect summer dessert. Personally, the thing I love most is that it’s really easy to prepare. You can in fact blend the kiwis and put them in the freezer before starting dinner, and it is ready when you finish eating 🙂

  • 16 kiwis
  • 4 teaspoons of lime or lemon juice

  1. Peel the kiwis and put them in a mixer.
  2. Add the lime juice (sugar if you want), mix everything and place it in a container.
  3. Put in the freezer at least 2 hours.
